TODAY IS RANDOMLY DEDICATED TO SHOOTING A BBALL.

Hands/follow-thru

The ball should ideally rest on the fingertips with trhe majority of the work eing done on the index, middle, ring finger and wrist. poor or inconsistent shooters often have the ball resting ont he palm of the hand before release or unnecessarily involve their thumb.
The hands can destroy a good mechanical release: it is imperative that the ball rests on the fingertips and pads of your hand, not on the palm. when the ball is released at extension, it should roll of the fingertips for good backward rotation. The ball is released from the index and the middle finger only. the off hand thumb cannot push the ball: that will cause sideways rotation.
your shooting hand must be directly underneath the ball. Your fingers should be spread wide, but not be tense.you must also have your wrist cocked properly so the back of your hand is parallel to the floor. the off-hand must come off the ball as soon you begin your shooting motion up to the basket. the follow-through is critical. every sporting action has to be finished. with a good follow-through, you will allow the ball to stay in you control longer. it comes off your fingertips , giving you great feel, which will create a great touch on you shot.

Feet
...must be always on you balls of feet and feet should be shoulder width apart...

sian lazy to type about body and legs and waist...
ohh yea! there is still one very important factor: confidence...
